•  KDI 중앙도서실에서 구독 중인 CUP 저널에 논문 투고 시, 저자의 논문게재료(Article Processing Charge)가 자동 면제
•  기관에는 구독 저널 패키지에 대한 접속 권한 부여(Read), 연구자에게는 APC 지원(Publish)
•  출판되는 논문은 Open Access 형태로 출판

 지원내용 

• 지원종수: CUP HSS Package 294종
• 지원 대상: KDI 및 KDIS 소속 연구자
• 공동 저자인 경우 APC 면제를 적용받을 수 있는지 여부(적격성)는 교신 저자의 소속기관에 따라 결정

면제방법

• 면제 방법: 논문 투고 시 KDI 또는 KDIS 이메일 계정(@kdi.re.kr, @kdischool.ac.kr)을 사용하면 자동 승인
• APC 면제 시점: 논문 게재가 확정되는 시점
•  APC 면제 과정:

#논문 출판 과정인 기본 출판 과정과 모두 동일하며, KDI 및 KDIS 소속 연구자(KDI 및 KDIS 이메일 계정 사용)가 OA 논문을 출판하는 경우 "APC Transaction" 단계가 추가됨

#기관 소속 저자의 논문 출판이 확정되면, 저자는 Acceptance 이메일과 Information Request 이메일을 받고, 저자가 출판 관련 계약을 맺고 APC를 처리하는 단계를 거침(KDI 및 KDIS 소속 연구자인지 확인이 되면 APC가 면제 처리됨)

Introducing the Read & Publish Subscription Model by Cambridge University Press (CUP), which offers free support for Article Processing Charges (APC) in journal manuscript submissions.

 Read & Publish

•  When submitting an article to a CUP journal subscribed by the KDI Central Library,

the author's Article Processing Charge (APC) is automatically waived.

•  Institutions are granted access rights (Read) to the subscribed journal package,

and researchers receive APC support (Publish).

• Published articles are released in Open Access format.

Support Details

• Number of Journals: 294 titles in the CUP HSS Package
• Eligible authors: Researchers affiliated with KDI and KDIS
• Eligibility for APC exemption in the case of co-authors is determined by the affiliating institution of the corresponding author.

Process

• Automatic approval when using KDI or KDIS email accounts (@kdi.re.kr, @kdischool.ac.kr) during manuscript submission.
• At the point of confirmed manuscript publication, the APC is exempted.
•  APC Exemption Process:

1)The overall publishing process is identical to the basic publishing process. When KDI and KDIS-affiliated researchers (using KDI or KDIS email accounts) publish an OA paper, an "APC Transaction" step is added.

2)When the article publication is confirmed, the author, upon receiving the Acceptance and Information Request emails, is automatically exempted during the stages of publishing-related contracts and APC processing.
