How to suggest a purchase?

General guidelines

- Requested items are selected for the library collection according to academic major/research relevance, references, and value.

- Selecting workbooks for a specific examination are discouraged as much as possible.

- In order to make this service widely accessible, please try to refrain from making many purchases simultaneously, and focus your selection on books that can make a valuable and longer-term addition to the library collection. We will notify you when the order has been placed, or if your purchase request is denied.

- Since our library collection is primarily for academic purposes, understand that some reqeust on leisure items may be denied depending on the budget.

- Final acquisition decisions will be made by Library Director.

All KDI School members (faculty, staff, enrolled and completion students) are encouraged to suggest additions to the Central Library’s collection including books, audio and video materials.

Library Collection Policy

Requests will be reviewed by the appropriate librarian, based on KDI School Library’s collection policy and available funds.
Materials that support the research and teaching programs of KDI School are given priority over others.
Per Library policy, the Library has a ‘1 copy for 1 item’ rule. However additional copies can be purchased for some frequently used materials (e.g. Course Textbooks)

Tips for your requests

To consider your request, the Library needs bibliographic information. Incorrect information may delay your purchase.
You will receive notification when the requested item has been purchased, or if your request has been denied for any reasons.
Estimated delivery time : 3-7 days (domestic orders) / 2-4 weeks or more (overseas orders)
The Library will notify you the purchasing process using your contact information on MIS, so please check your email and mobile phone numbers.
